As anyone would find

If they looked beyond the lines

To discover a poetic mind

That simply never sleeps

As I continue to explore and uncover

My poetic brain a bit further

That seeks to reach a place

Than even I could’ve imagined

Over a long period 

Of space and time

And never asking why

But rather bask in the knowing

Of poetic glowing and flowing

A poetic wonder and anomaly

That the art form itself

Has graciously welcomed me

So watch and witness me

Poetically level up and increase

Rise and combine

More poetic words and lines

And continue to redefine

The very fire and light within

 

That burns and shines

Took a swan dive 

Into the poetic deep

As I come to full terms and acceptance

Of being the type of poet

With a mind that never sleeps
