Life in an instant

can be here and gone—

just as quickly as it arrived,

and taken by surprise

as noone sees the end coming

nor ever prepared for it—

for life must be lived,

ever presently—

and in the fullness thereof,

taken nothing about it; ever for granted,

for to see a face one day,

and then it’s gone the next,

with a feeling of having nothing left,

but yet a memory—

of a life hopefully lived well,

and with no regrets to speak—

or think of—

to be at peace when; the time comes,

to take the final breath—

and into eternal rest—

whether for self or someone else,

for we must truly value and appreciate,

our own life while here,

and also the life of others,

along with leaving on a good note

issues made right as well,

from whatever might’ve been wrong

for too many are prone—

to leave certain situations—

up in the air; left with despair,

and ended up with; no time to spare,

before self or another one left here,

and left wandering why—

probably from taking too long,

as life is short—

and can disappear; in the blink of an eye,

for we never know when a life,
