  • Just Write Anyway

    September 16th, 2026

To all my fellow poets around the world…..

    have you as a poet

    ever had a moment

when a poem was in your head

that you just didn’t know what

to particularly write or how to express

    that said poem

    that was just

    hanging right there

    with nowhere to go

    eventhough you wanted it to

    and trying to figure out

exactly what to do with this

    untitled poem

    this poem of an

    unknown subject matter

    personal or otherwise

    but there in your eyes

lies this piece that you know

    is there and fully aware

that it aches to come forth

that it aims to rise to the surface

as the poem is the stage

    the thoughts and writing

as the curtain and you are

    the speaker and presenter

    so go ahead despite

    this poetic dilemma

    pull back the curtain

    and just go for it

    just perform regardless

    without worrying about

it being perfect or just right

    because if you don’t

    the day will arrive that

    will haunt you inside

    for having not

    done so at all

    just write

    just write

    anyway

  • Gentle Heart

    September 15th, 2026

    the gentle heart

    that beats of kindness

but oftentimes gets hurt or broken

    of moments undeserving of it

    the gentle heart

    that warms and smiles

    from the inside out

with love that’s solid and without doubt

    climatic it seems from within

    and projects outwardly

    the depth quietly unseen

along with no cause to be mean

    beats erratically

    when pain arrives and thrives

in those painful situations of time

yet along the lines of steady palpitations

    sporadically trying so hard and

desperately aching to continue on being

    exactly what it truly is

and in a sense, just dying to

    simply love and live

    a heart of ultimate rarity

and not a novelty seen to most

a heart that deserves a toast

    as opposed to being burned

purposely to roast and doing the most

to ruin the precious and good nature

of such a heart as this

    for if this gentle heart

were ever to depart this world

it would be the very heart

    that unequivocally would be missed

  • The Sound

    September 14th, 2026

    The sound that abounds

When a rhyme is stated and found

    Identified through every line

Making each one set off a chime

To poetically and lyrically strike a chord

    That moves and flows towards

The end of a poetic line

    But in turns also binds

The poet and reader in ways

    That interprets night and day

As the rhyme is never confined

But rather runs wild at the drop of a dime

To sound out but never bow out

    Thinking north but felt south

And with such fun to be had

Not about the good or bad

But rather what is heard and seen

As the sound of a rhyme

    Means what it means

  • Cracked Mirror

    September 12th, 2026

As I look into the mirror

and the mirror looks back at me,

    I see—

a man that has endured much,

    over the years and appears,

    at times to be weary—

with a query of unanswered things,

and what life has brought about,

    yet could also bring—

    the good and bad,

    and what lies in between,

with gray as the word of the day,

for black and white tend to,

    leave an incomplete story—

for what has; and will come what may,

    in this life of mine—

    a missing piece within,

but still light in my eyes—

    as I approach the mirror,

    with the reflection of me,

for on display to some degree,

    is the unseen and unspoken—

and a far token to various parts,

    that occupy—

    my heart and mind,

    at times when I’m alone—

    nestled in my own thoughts—

and as I take a closer look,

    into the cracked mirror—

I observe a much smaller figure,

slightly faded but coming into view,

on approach and nearing my presence,

    as if to teach me—

    a valuable life lesson,

    and finally—

    this figure appears,

and I’m shocked; at what I see,

    or rather; who I see—

and there within the cracked mirror,

    just a few feet away,

    clear as day—

    as we meet here—

is a little boy with a slight tear,

    That dwells inside of me

  • The Ongoing Journey

    September 11th, 2026

    A Loop Poem……

Something that we all share within

Within this world that is occupied and shared

Shared with all people no matter the culture

Culture, creed, nationality, or skin tone

Tone also that sounds off in each word spoken

Spoken and conveyed in ways that can truly shape

Shape us within the confines of time

Time that we have that begins and ends

Ends at some point and a vital piece of the puzzle

Puzzle left to configure or take apart

Apart in moments that can speak volumes on

On so many levels of existence converging upon

Upon a very fixed point as individuals carrying

Carrying out something both unique and still yet

Yet to be fully understood along this ongoing journey

Journey that spells out and maps out this thing called life

Life is the ongoing journey that describes it all

  • Stair Poem (A Release)

    September 11th, 2026

    4

    A release

    That is sorely

    Needed in more ways

    Than one and done someplace

Where a person can have the privacy

And silence to speak or scream without

Any judgement at all or not to disturb the area

Around anyone else there and so aware that this

Really and truly needed to happen and is long overdue

As to forge more of a decrease before more of an increase

Begins to show up and layer on top of what needs to be released

  • Stair Poem (A Cry)

    September 10th, 2026

    3

    A cry

    that noone really

sees or hears and if so

    would real sympathy or empathy

be on the menu at all? or just going….

as if nothing happened at all or simply because

this doesn’t personally affect their life or circumstances

the world over and targeted at all angles no matter the age

no matter the gender, and everyday asking why as each moment

of such things, being crushed by as one looks to the sky above with the

The horrible question in tears and when oh when….will enough be enough

  • Stair Poem (A Heart)

    September 9th, 2026

    2

    A heart

    so broken from….

    things that not many

    would know much about

    feeling the pressure each day

with a mind wandering and pondering

over much and about what matters most

with much held close to the chest and the rest

well….only time will tell and to set a spell for a while

oh….but if only to see a smile rise from a fractured place

Yet have to endure and keep going no matter what may come

  • Stair Poem (A World)

    September 8th, 2026

    1

    A world

    that is spinning

    out of control and seems

to be getting worse by the day

and one that feeds constant division

so when will people finally wake up to

all that is going on around them and to whom

this involves and affected nonetheless in one way

or another as this world has become a very darkened version

Of itself as much light needs to shine through and overcome the shadows

  • Summer (Pi-ku)

    September 8th, 2026

These were done on the fly, Pi-ku style of poetry and here are my first five about the summer season here where I am….wasn’t a true summer season though…

    Pi-ku (3-1-4)

    The summer

    Is

    Nearing the end

    Summer here

    Was

    Not quite the same

    The sun shined

    Through

    Many nice days

    The rain was

    Here

    Most of summer

    The season

    Was

    Hot on most days
