To bring into existence

Something that didn’t exist

Before

And something brought about

And thought about

Yet dug from one’s

Core

A belief in the unknown

And what could be

A new opportunity

Laced on top of

Infinite possibilities

Without any limitations

But plenty of and an abundance of

Imagination

From a very dire and creative circumstance

Followed up by the most intimate dance

Of pure will and a heartbeat

That allowed for a process

And result of something

New and original

But also in the realm of extraordinary

For in this case and particularly

Just simply allow

The shift and angle of poiesis

To a very narrow focus

Along with real freedom

To bend and ignite

The poiesis of

Bringing something into existence

That never existed before

And to construct even more

The poiesis

  1. Ah yes, Maurice. When we create, it is something deeply personal and so visceral. Beauty and creativity often springs from hardship. I guess birth is always painful.
    Loved this.

  2. I love that you went to the Greek. Sometimes getting to the root of a word helps the creative writing process as it clearly did in this case Maurice. To bring words together to create is both wonderful and scary. Love your poetic creation!!
