staring into the midst

of an area sprayed by

carrying winds and personal depth

along with staggered clouds above

that interrupt and hover in silence

looking outwardly upon a place

that connects to a wrestled edge

and kneeling down due to passing thoughts

as a wedge between near and distant realities

with regrets in hand and wasted time disposed of

and a voice that seemed hushed at first

yet became paralyzed from muttered proclivities

and to what else may lie ahead

pondering the future up close

but from a stoic and uncertain distance

filled with both good and dread

as to not be overly consumed

nor loom from negative consequences

to grasp instead and execute

setting oneself up to bloom

as a flower welcoming spring

and turn a weary heart upside down

to one that aims to sing

and turn to a new page

as to pledge and engage

promise and deeply state

as to sew a thread of bright color

through a darkened needle eye

and wave goodbye to a life

that was once too difficult to shed

focusing on levitating right here and now

and to never fall or stall

while at the edge
