Walking About Forever

Part 6 (Final Poem)

Walking about constantly

So out of breath

Leading to a slight unrest

A statement and a test

Of a personal testimony

Lived over many lifetimes

Stepping out and about

And at times off the rails

For having walked there

But in this position

And rotating mission

Pulse racing from each foot placed

Upon land surfaces that welcomed me

And exited the same way I entered

Eagerly and in anticipation

Of the next place

My legs decided to go

And my willing feet followed

As I swallowed the idea

Of any remnants of fear

That lead me to stay planted

Instead of moving

Yet my nerves and urge

Of self soothing was that

Noone could tell

Or dispel

Just by looking

As my eyes are happy

And appearing so well dressed

And drenched in the sweat

Of hundreds of mortal steps

And unloosened chains

Gone from only moving about

In just one room

To further exploring and discovering

Exactly what all I have left

From repeated steps

Watching myself

From a pure mental standstill

And unmodified gains

Taking myself into further

Unknown areas

Of pleasant and curious

Endeavors

Bold

Poised and clever

So that I can always

Even into my next life

Keep walking about forever
