Is a lot more than what appears

A poet on the rise

And have done so for many years

For at my core

I am more

And even beyond what I

May truly realize

But poetry for me

Has been the place to be

And see a part of me

That I’m still experiencing

To feel openly and poetically

So deeply and artistically

And creatively expressing

Yet exploring further areas that are within me

A me that even I

Am still uncovering

Even in moments of doubt

With unrealized abilities and fear

For what I have right here

Is so much more than what appears

That I decided to write

As I engage with this poem here

No need to define

But instead reprise more

With various poetic thoughts

That have just randomly appeared

For I have no need to

Explain yet remain

Unequivocally me

And so it is, and free to be

Whatever I deem

For it may seem

To be scattered about

For with a poetic heart

I am not without

Perfection put away

As the interpretation is always open

After being read and took place

As a spark of meaning both

Inside and outside the head and mind

As I took the time

Just because

To write the now

And the what was

To think of what lies ahead

And also what won’t be

As I categorically

Declare that this poem

Correlates and shapes

That which poetically plagues

Every fiber of me

Running free and based inexplicably

Artist Support….Post 4

Support to an artist, means absolutely everything to them.

It begins with showing an interest, and then trying it on for size. And after while and with a show of skill developed, a passion arises. One that sometimes even surprises the new artist as well. Going into it wide eyed and curiosity for it even higher. But then one day, the person or persons you believe to care, don’t support your artistic dreams and aspirations. Treat it and seen as something you’re wasting your life on. Talk about shattering a dream, and even worse trying to redirect you elsewhere. To something you have no interest in at all or ever. Because of what they believe, instead of believing in you instead.

But for an artist to get that full support, catapults and thrives in ways that will further shape them later down the road. But the first and initial support for an artist, should always be self. That is the start and from others would be a bonus. Oftentimes we’re too affected and redirected by others, instead standing our ground and staying the course. The pathway and journey we were called to do, and if nothing else, do this and nothing else either with our lives. In a perfect world, this would be ideal. But in our imperfect world we as artists must be who we are and were meant to be. And never allow the fire to be extinguished, by anyone or anything.

How many of us artists can relate to this??

Beyond Measure

At my core

I am more,

and despite all of the,

ups and downs,

smiles and frowns,

for what may abound,

and turneth life around,

with absolute and personal

satisfaction and pleasure,

so I in turn,

can go beyond measure—

I am

the storm walking up to a storm,

yet I’m the bigger event,

for I refuse to relent,

to anything that attempts,

to hold me back,

to hold me at bay,

that seeks to,

push me in the wrong direction,

think or act in the wrong way,

for within cannot be measured,

and the only limitations placed,

are the ones I enact upon myself,

for I am wonderfully; and uniquely made,

filled with purpose—

and knowing that I; was created for a reason,

and to not change constantly; with the seasons,

the self actualization—

and inner realization—

that not only do I matter,

and not a speck of nothing,

or some insignificance in the universe,

but rather believing that at my core,

that I was built to last,

and to become even more,

for the rabbit hole has no bottom,

and neither are; the depths of me,

that seek and can greatly reach,

well past what I thought to be,

the best version of me,

for in the eyes of the Creator,

I am an entity of infinity,

a soul molded and shaped,

out of eternity,

transformed into a human being,

but not weakened by this,

just another pure element of existence,

waiting to be further understood,

and to see myself and my life,

as very valuable treasure—

for what I truly am,

Is powerful beyond measure.

Mind Field

So many people

move about this world,

and go about life,

but are the ways it’s being done,

and all the ways being carried out,

is it actually living?

or just simply existing?

being versus becoming—

or not doing so at all; either way,

wasted days—

sleepless nights—

living for others; instead of self,

for at times life can really bite,

and we have to fight—

for everything; while also still holding on,

with times also left wandering,

moments of right that turned wrong,

indecisions that would’ve been,

more than alright—

for we all possess the power,

of free will choice—

and along with that; a heart and voice,

a mind and body of course,

to reach depths within—

never thought possible,

getting back to self,

and remembering exactly,

the real you that has; always existed,

and not to get it twisted,

but to go far beyond,

what may or may not be,

so called realistic—

hesitation as the culprit,

being our own worst enemy,

self sabotaging and feeling,

less and less happy and unfulfilled,

as the years roll by; and gets further revealed,

to be present and with a coming future,

with no fate sealed—

for what happens first,

begins in the spirit and mind,

each and every time—

both now and until,

for each one of us experiences,

Our very own mind field.

To Be As A Tree

July 31st, 2026

For I desire greatly

to be as a tree—

and in the natural purity thereof,

for I want my roots—

to be so heavily grounded—

that nothing could move me,

to exemplify a physical stance,

and presence of,

an immovable force—

able to weather all the seasons,

or anything else for that matter,

always staying on course—

and occupying a strength within,

that rivals any entity; on the outside,

with branches; that grow and reach,

each and everyday up to the sky,

as the leaves are just spreading—

that much more of me,

and for all to witness and see,

healthy and steadfast,

built to last—

and have anchored myself down—

so far that I have surpassed,

the very ground itself—

both above and below,

on the surface and underneath—

for oh, how it must feel,

to be a tree—

full of life and fulfilling—

its natural and spiritual destiny,

without apology or the need,

to ever be anything but,

a tree—

widening out no matter what—

strengthening in ways; that so dearly touch,

the inner magnitude; aiming to never be,

just enough—

but rather extend despite—

whatever else may or may not be there,

and fully aware; of its grand position,

as to not ever stray away—

from its sole purpose and mission,

for it’ll always be—

exactly what it was created,

and designed to be—

for if I could choose—

a vital part of nature to embody,

and grow with power—

from the smallest seed—

I would sincerely want,

To be as a tree.

Breathe

July 30th, 2026

To live and breathe

And artistically achieve

To go well beyond wants and dire need

But to roll along with every heartbeat

As each day is anew

And a chance also to show up and prove

But only more to myself

And never because of anyone else

To breathe and breathe again

For as long as I stay the course

I have every chance to win

To grow as I was meant

As I always pull from my core

To write and release as I vent

And to breathe again once more

Inflationary Times….Post 3

Everything seems to just keep going up and up in price. I mean wow, and will this change for the better or get worse?

I remember when products/items/material goods, were far less expensive at one time. And I have watched even the smallest of items double or triple in price. This is wrong to say the least, and if we don’t speak up and get active to create any real change, then what exactly will be the results going into the future? The poorer is getting poorer, the middle class is barely in place, and the rich well, that’s a whole other thing. But even they are beginning to feel the pinch and bite of this high inflation as well. This is not a problem for some, but a problem for everyone in one way or another. Things are just getting harder and harder and the so called “American Dream” hmmmm, has become more like the “American Nightmare”. I gotta say and from my own personal and opinionated view, this is not the same place from 5 years ago, 10 years ago, even 20 years ago. And just why is that exactly? This is a question we must all answer for ourselves. Not only as individuals, but a society as a whole.
