Time Went By

October 9th, 2026
so many years spent

missing out on

many memorable moments

quality time with some

the lack thereof for others
trips not taken

smiles gone unseen

faces no longer here

as the years rolled away
days and nights lost

in the mind and the current reality

waited when movement was needed

moved when patience was the key
regrettable actions and decisions

or decisions undone by circumstances

that seemed out of control

and some within grasp of being possible
oh to convey much felt within

but unsure exactly where to begin

yet no matter what is done or not

time itself never stops
as each second, minute, and hour

is dire and waits upon noone

can’t rewind nor gain it back

which leaves one direction only
and that is forward movement

as each day alive is precious

and can’t wear regret as a coat

that won’t be able to come off
as to live and breathe

with so much I didn’t get

to experience or see

for I must make do
with the now, the ever present

and to learn from such a timely lesson

a new welcome and away with old goodbyes

from incomplete to checking off the list

Time Moving Quickly….Post 7

“Lost time is never found again.” — Benjamin Franklin

Doesn’t it seem like time nowadays is moving by rather quickly? A bit more than ever before? Or at least to me it does. Hours passing by like minutes, minutes passing by like seconds, and seconds well, blink and their gone.

The sun and moon are both out at the same time as well, like time on both sides of the luminaries are merging together somehow. More now than ever before. Time is precious but also forward moving only. We cannot reverse it, pause it, or acquire any more of it. Once it’s gone, it’s gone forever. That is why time is too vital to life and existence, to ever take it for granted.

“Time is the most valuable thing a man can spend.” — Theophrastus

I remember growing up with time running relatively slow, certainly much slower than now. We had more time on our hands back then, or at least it felt this way. But now, it moves with the quickness and not particularly in a good way. If we truly look around and pay close attention, this is not hard to notice. Not opinion here, but rather a mere fact of something that is actually happening around us all.

And no, we don’t have a time traveling Delorean to go back and forth either lol. Many of us over our lifetime have stated, if I could go back and change this, or I regret this, or if I had made this decision or that decision, yeah we’ve all been there and said that.

But there is no time like the present, and the present is a gift. We cannot go back in time and change anything, no skip ahead either. All the time in the world and universe is happening right here and right now. We have to be present in our lives, for the past is gone and the future hasn’t arrived yet.

And because time is moving so quickly now, let’s make the most of it and life today. For tomorrow is not promised, so be present because it’s a gift, and again the only real time we truly have, is currently right here, right now.

Of anything we do

Or don’t do

Say or not say

Think or not think

Feel or not feel

Experience or never get to experience

Will ever give us back

Even one second of time

Time missed or wasted

Time longed for or embraced

Time taken advantage of or seen as nothing vital

For we all are shaped by

The element of time

As time is, and has always been

A major factor

In all aspects of life and existence

For time cares not

That you are rich or poor

What your gender is

What your nationality or political affiliation is

Goals or dreams fulfilled or not

Whether you’re happy or unhappy

Time will be what it’s always been

And this is a flowing and forward moving element

That waits for noone

And no amount of money either

Will ever or could buy back

Any amount of time as well

As time is not for sale

And time will carry on regardless

For no amount of anything

We possess or not

Will ever obtain any amount

Of extra time

Cracked Mirror

September 12th, 2026
As I look into the mirror

and the mirror looks back at me,

I see—

a man that has endured much,

over the years and appears,

at times to be weary—

with a query of unanswered things,

and what life has brought about,

yet could also bring—

the good and bad,

and what lies in between,

with gray as the word of the day,

for black and white tend to,

leave an incomplete story—

for what has; and will come what may,

in this life of mine—

a missing piece within,

but still light in my eyes—

as I approach the mirror,

with the reflection of me,

for on display to some degree,

is the unseen and unspoken—

and a far token to various parts,

that occupy—

my heart and mind,

at times when I’m alone—

nestled in my own thoughts—

and as I take a closer look,

into the cracked mirror—

I observe a much smaller figure,

slightly faded but coming into view,

on approach and nearing my presence,

as if to teach me—

a valuable life lesson,

and finally—

this figure appears,

and I’m shocked; at what I see,

or rather; who I see—

and there within the cracked mirror,

just a few feet away,

clear as day—

as we meet here—

is a little boy with a slight tear,

That dwells inside of me

The Ongoing Journey

A Loop Poem……
Something that we all share within

Within this world that is occupied and shared

Shared with all people no matter the culture

Culture, creed, nationality, or skin tone

Tone also that sounds off in each word spoken

Spoken and conveyed in ways that can truly shape

Shape us within the confines of time

Time that we have that begins and ends

Ends at some point and a vital piece of the puzzle

Puzzle left to configure or take apart

Apart in moments that can speak volumes on

On so many levels of existence converging upon

Upon a very fixed point as individuals carrying

Carrying out something both unique and still yet

Yet to be fully understood along this ongoing journey

Journey that spells out and maps out this thing called life

Life is the ongoing journey that describes it all

Intricacies Of Time

September 1st, 2026

For not even a rewind

can change the magnitude,

and very real purpose of time—

as it will flow and continue to,

roll no matter what else,

is going on or not—

for it’s not the clock; nor the watch,

that dictates time at all,

but rather operate as a simple tool,

in the actionable way of displaying,

just how distinct time actually rules—

a universal and dynamic element,

that factors in all points within—

and all segments throughout,

for without a shadow of doubt,

time will continue on—

and it will not be beaten,

for the true depths of time—

for all of us—

are well beyond; and far reaching,

more than we could ever fathom—

and not operating; within any set lines,

as we may deem—

or as it may seem—

well balanced yet with not being; fully understood,

absolute perfection—

as anyone would find,

that expresses consistently through,

The intricacies of time

The Hourglass

August 31st, 2026
Time incomplete

And time that has passed

Along with time presently flowing

Within the hourglass
Seeing the sand inside

Slowly moving away

And upon noticing this

I can see my reflection

In the glass

Me looking back at myself

As the time here

Is steady rolling
Yet seeing time slip away

And also what’s to come

Seeing time continuously

Moving forward despite

Whether personal tasks

Or done or not

For time just doesn’t stop

But in here it does

But only inside this hourglass

For as the time stops there

It keeps on going outwardly here

And having witnessed time from sands here

Both began and disappear

As I pick it up and lift it up

And watching as time passes by

Right in the palm of my hand
A literal precursor

For time’s arrival and exit

And as to what could happen next

For the time left in between

As I could observe with and from

A very personal and spatial view

All while watching the sands of time here

Indicate and display

The past, present, and future

Simultaneously

As I may find

While looking at time

From both sides

Of the hourglass

The Clock

August 30th, 2026

A Stair Poem *

The tick

And tock of the

Ongoing and steady

Clock that moves within

Each second, minute, and hour

And helping to regulate and display

The one crucial element that waits for

Noone at all and like a never ending fall

The ticking and steady clock stays in place

No matter the face that stares at it or not at all

As each hand lands and knows exactly what to do

When the time comes and pacing throughout as a game

That cannot be won and even shunned for simply keeping

The one thing the clock does best and allowing time to align the rest

The Brewing Storm

August 14th, 2026

The external nature

Of the environment around me

Brewing above and with a

Rolling storm on the way

For what I observed

Has become more than just this

As my eyes are closed

Quite composed but also

Clenching both fists

For I feel that I’m

Right in the center of all this

A tryst meeting here in the midst

With mighty winds surging and pouring

Rain down upon the ground

All around

But then suddenly,

I opened my eyes and then realized

That it was all a dream

Or so it seems….

And becoming vaguely aware

Right then and there

For this very storm

Was not the norm

Because this brewing storm

Was occurring completely unabated

And uninterrupted

From everything over time

Fully surprised and as I arrived

At the full conclusion

That this brewing storm

Was actually happening internally

And was truly all about

The life of me
